So I'll start with the blog award!
Thanks very much Rhona over at Tangled Threads for passing this on to me :-)
It comes with four rules,
1. Choose five up-and-coming blogs (with fewer than 200 followers) to award the Liebster to.
2. Show your thanks to the blogger who gave you the award by linking back to them.
3. Post the award on your blog. List the bloggers you are giving the award to with links to their sites. Leave comments on their blogs so they know about the award.
4. Share five random facts about yourself that people don't know about you.

so I pass this on to........
Now for the random facts about me :-)
1. I smile at everybody in the street, usually they smile back but I do get a few funny looks, lol! I don't care, I'm happy!
2. I'm a big kid and buy cartoon DVD's all the time, my latest ones are Looney Tunes, The Flumps, Mr Men and Chorlton and the Wheelies. Which reminds me, does anyone else remember Chorlton and the Wheelies? It's my all time favourite and no one else seems to remember it! I have no children they are all just for me :-)
3. Likewise my house is stuffed with cuddly toys (again, big kid!)
4. I hate fudge.
5. I used to get the words wrong to Jingle Bells when I was little, my Mam taped it and had the proof that I would sing 'oh what find in a nishu rind in a one horse open sleigh' instead of 'oh what fun is it to ride.....
Is that random enough :-)
So for the custom makes this week, I had an Easter cake band to stitch and I've been working on it on and off for a couple of weeks, it's finished!!
I also had a request for two octopus felt keyrings...........that had me thinking how can I fit eight tentacles onto something the size of a keyring. I came up with the idea of four on the front and four on the back and a gusset bit in the middle. It worked really well and they even stand up!
Now I'm busy making a 3D cross stitch thatched cottage, again an order, which is fun! Love making unusual things and figuring out odd ones! I have a little cottage naming challenge on my facebook page at the moment too if anyone wants to make a suggestion, the best one on Saturday will win a hanging mushroom :-) You can leave your suggestions HERE

I just gave you the Liebster Blog award. This is like a
networking award meant to bring some new members to bloggers with less than
200 members. You were one of five I've chosen. I too was given the award by
another blogger. Check out my newest blog post for the details.
Have a great day!
Love those octopuses...is that the plural?!! Anyway, they are adorable. You are so clever to be able to figure out how to make them!
Haha - I used to smile at everyone too but in London it really doesn't go down very well and people steer well clear so I had to stop! Sad really!
I love the octopuses (octupi?)
x
